Background Overview |Greetings, dear reader. Who better to divulge Euphemia's most sordid secrets than her treasured confident and sister by blood. We are twin ladies of what some called 'trueblood' once upon a time - but it does seem times are changing. Anyhail, born we were of a minor noble Ishgardian house, near exact in outward design - though any such methods to tell us apart I would never say. Twin births run naturally in certain bloodlines and are not uncommon for our family - as you can see with our two grand-mère who take station as the highest ladies of the house. The Laveaux house is well known for producing clergy, mages, and artisians; moreso the former in times of war. We children grow up with formal training starting under the age of 10 winters. Together we studied the basics of arithmetic, geometry, and arcanima. Euphie had a natural inclination towards book learning and the arcane, whilst I on the other hand preferred a rather more direct approach to solving my problems, namely a large sword. Saint Endalim's Scholasticate was graduated early and with high marks, as one would expect of my brainy little sister. We oft wintered in Sharlayan as well, due to some familial connections - which afford her ever more books to consume. My ever busy sister found calling to the cloth whilst being drawn into esoteric magic in so much avoiding as cries of heresy would allow. With a deep love of country and countryman alike, she wandered the wilderness as a supporting chaplain - magically shielding knights from powerful blows and providing alchemical succor to the wounded. As one of the less preachy clergy and prone to looking the other way in the case lesser acts of 'heresy' she was quite popular. But that was some time ago, and much as happened in the interim. For the sake of brevity I'll leave you wanting more, and continue the tale another time.

- Ishgardian or Sharlayan families who may have bought wares from her family
- Creates unique and privately released perfume blends for large payments of coin✦ ArtiFACTS : Mia offers her services in repairing found objects, and can meticulously restore them to their original form. For a certain price, cursed items are accepted as well. She was selected to become the new caretaker of a questionable magic shop. Her experience with dangerous tomes compliments her current job of looking after curios meant to be handled with caution.✦ A Uniquely Portable Magic - After serving as a Bibliosoph and Researcher for hire in Sharlayan lands, she's still rather adept at acquiring just the right dusty book for fellow sleep starved scholars, and continues to offer her services when they're needed.✦ To light a fire - Euphemia can be found offering her services as a tutor and teaching people of all class status how to read. She takes her payment in odds and ends. A hot cooked meal, a rare book totally not stolen, a handknit shawl. Perhaps your character knows her through this work, or wants to hire her.Ishgardian Hooks

House Laveaux
BRIEF HISTORYWIPHouse Laveaux - House of the Raven, vassal of House DurendaireEccentric but religiously fanatic, the house is known to produce mages and clergy, along with a focus on gemsmithing and fine arts. For the latter, whilst Ishgard was engaged in active warfare scant was provided and only when necessary - a choir performance at Starlight, a new painting or statue commemorating acts of valor. As for the Lavaeux gemsmiths, whenever a cherished family antique has gone dull or a chapel's stained glass window broken, this house supplies the artisians to attend to items both mundane and holy.Additionally, House of the Raven provide funerary services and sends groups of chaplains into the field to recover bodies of fallen knights and perform halonic rites. Not a job everyone wishes to undertake; the house has become a standard to seek out for such needs.Oddly, the twin grandmothers of this house took over as the head of house and the previous man in the position stepped down without a fight. Such an occurrence leads the nobles of Ishgard to wonder what tragedy or drama would cause such an act, but thus far none have ascertained the reason for the change to matriarchy.---
- Performs last rites and end of life services via men and women of the cloth
- Maintains the wards around Ishgard to protect the city from the Dravanian HoardHouse Laveaux began with common roots as a simple trade-smith passing down the arts of Goldsmithing from each generation. Due to an enterprising spouse who industriously works to bloat the family coffers, Mia's grandparents secured a spot amongst the elite of society. Instead of placing orders abroad through other cities, the city was happy to patronize the local Laveaux family. Once word spread, they were sponsored by House Durendaire
